Frequently Asked Questions

All the info you need to be prepared for the wedding!

1. What are the dress recommendations for the wedding?

Wear whatever you're comfortable wearing to an outdoor, afternoon wedding. If you're looking for ideas, think dressy casual.

2. Is there a gift registry?

We appreciate that people are interested in giving us wedding gifts. However, we feel that the best gift you can give us is your presence at our wedding ceremony and/or future celebrations. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to one of us directly.

3. What are the COVID protocols for this wedding?

As we all know, COVID is a moving target. We are asking that all our guests be vaccinated prior to attending the wedding. As far as masking goes, we hope that we'll be able to enjoy our time together without masks. We are keeping an eye on CDC guidance and will make firm decisions about masking and testing closer to the wedding date. We want to make this a safe event for people to attend. Of course if you are experiencing symptoms in the days leading up to the wedding, or test positive, please let us know. We would love for everyone to be there, but we also understand if it's not possible. We appreciate everyone's flexibility and understanding.

4. Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting, the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. October can be a fickle time of year so we'll hope for the best, but we do have an indoor option if needed. Looking at weather forecasts, it looks like it'll be in the 50s to mid-60s. You can check out the forecast here.

5. Are all the wedding guests staying at the lodge both nights?

No, not all guests are staying at the lodge both nights. Some people only wanted to stay one night, and others opted to just come in for the day of the wedding. Additionally, space in the lodge is limited, so we are only able to honor the requests for people who said they wanted to stay at the lodge in the initial RSVP interest form. This was sent out in the spring of 2022. If you have changed your mind since then, please let the bride and groom know as soon as possible.

6. What is the cost of staying at the lodge?

It's free for our guests. Accommodations at the lodge are included as part of our wedding.

7. If I'm staying at the lodge, will I need to bring food for additional meals?

We will be providing food for everyone who is staying at the lodge for the duration of their stay. That means that if you're staying on Sunday night, we'll provide Sunday dinner, Monday breakfast, and pre-wedding snacks. If you're staying Monday night, we'll provide dinner (as part of the wedding festivities), and breakfast on Tuesday morning.

8. What do the rooms look like?

Most rooms sleep 2-3 people, each with a private bathroom. You can check out the Wallace Falls Lodge website to see pictures of the rooms.

9. How will I know my room assignment? Will I get to pick who is in my room with me?

We are doing our best to accommodate everyone who has requested to stay at the lodge. That has taken some tricky maneuvering! We will be notifying people several weeks in advance with their room assignments. If you would like your own private room, or have particular sleeping requirements, you may want to make separate lodging arrangements. When you arrive at the lodge, there will be the finalized list of room assignments in the main entrance room.

10. If I'm flying to Seattle on Monday, what arrival time should I book?

If you're planning on flying into SeaTac airport on Monday morning before the ceremony, we recommend trying for an arrival time no later than 11am. This should help provide enough time to deplane, collect your bags, and make the approximately hour and a half drive to Wallace Falls Lodge.

11. What time should I arrive if I'm staying at the lodge Sunday night?

If you are staying at the lodge on Sunday night, check-in starts at 4pm. You are welcome to arrive anytime after that. You also may be asked to help set up the event space, so bring comfortable clothes!

12. What time do I need to be out of my room if I'm staying at the lodge on Sunday night, but not staying on Monday night?

If you aren't staying at the lodge on Monday night, we're asking that you take your items out to your car by 10am, so that the rooms can be ready for the Monday night guests.

13. When can I put my items in my room if I'm only staying on Monday night?

If you're only staying Monday night, you will have access to your room after 4pm. Please keep your items in your car until then.

14. If I'm staying at the lodge on Monday night, what time do we need to leave the lodge on Tuesday morning?

We're requesting that guests leave the lodge by 10:30am on Tuesday morning. This gives us time to clean and double check that nothing was left behind before we check out.
